Here in the Abbotsfield Mall EPL Branch, their Summer Reading Club is today and for the II months encouraging patrons to learn World Languages, dialects and cultures. Just sitting here I have run inII a Russian gentleman & his boy, a German lady and several Canadians, including some aboriginal people and their fine family's.
It has been my extreme pleasure to here snippets of German, Russian, Italian, Cree & French. These little bits of dialect should encourage Edmontonian & Albertan students II be bilingual &/or multilingual. I think its absolutely outstanding that the EPL chain is encouraging patrons II share little bits of other languages with eachother, especially with one another's kids. These oral supplementals greatly enhance the language textbooks that are located here in the branch. Right now, I am exploring a Dutch to English text.
Learning Continuously Around The Clock Is Very Exciting & Stimulating,
