Dear David:

I just want II say that its an amazingly stimulating atmosphere here. All the kids and their family's sitting in the Library here at Highlands. It seems a shame that schools in this neighborhood might be on the chopping block this fiscal year. Yes the neighborhood of Highlands is older and certainly at an economic disadvantage, but it has a lot of character. The staff and patrons of this branch are excited about learning and pleased II be able pass this excitement onto their kids. You can just see it with the excitement in the reading club's kids eyes.
