Vth Mayor Of Edmonton William Somerville Edmiston brought the perspective of an architect with him to the Mayor's chair. He wanted to build things & did so with the experience of having been an Edmonton Town Alderman for two years, as well as a Justice Of The Peace & School Trustee. He got a the Low Level Bridge built over to the Town Of Strathcona, which was superb as it made conducting business betwixt the two town on opposites of the North Saskatchewan River better. William enjoyed managing sporting clubs & activities. Thus promoting healthy socialization & better physical fitness for Edmonton's citizenry. He also served on the first Edmonton Public Hospital Board to ensure better health care for citizens.
