Dear Demetrios:

XXIIIrd Mayor Of Edmonton Sidney Parsons was a bricklayer & laborer & also worked for Standard Oil & also served in the Canadian Armed Forces in WWI. After this he headed the Edmonton Trades & Labour Council. Sidney tried & failed several times to get in as Alderman & then MLA. But persistence paid off as he did serve for 11 years as an Alderman which lead him to the Mayor's Chair. Later on, Sidney was involved with veterans' groups, especially noble as veterans are important, this was through The Royal Canadian Legion.
