XIVth Mayor Of Edmonton Henry Marshall Erskine Evans actually had schooling in both business & mining & was involved in those vocations back in Ontario before he came out to Edmonton. Before that he stopped in Winnipeg, Manitoba to run The Winnipeg Telegram very successfully, a newspaper started by his brother. Evansdale School & neighborhood The Town Of Evansburg are named in Henry's honour. Later on, Henry went onto become an Alberta Government advisor & head of The Alberta Coal Commission.
