XXth Mayor Of Edmonton Daniel Kennedy Knott was an Alderman in 3 differing decades so that was invaluable in landing him Mayor's job. Daniel was a newspaperman man & worked as a linotype operator at The Edmonton Journal, a very valuable position then. A job that took great organizing skills, what a leader needs. Sadly even though his labour agenda mostly got through, Daniel allowed the Klu Klux Klan to hold a few events in Edmonton & even expedited permits in their favour. This led many to turn against Daniel & he was tossed out as Mayor but managed to come back later again as an Alderman.
