Dear Demetrios:

New to the job as Newfie Liberal Leader as of May IIIrd, 2025, Hon. Premier John Hogan, Liberal, MHA-Candidate, Windsor Lake has gone to see his province's Lt.-Governor & got a dissolution of the Newfoundland House Of Assembly & its 40 seats for a provincial election on October XIVth, MMXV. He's going rather quickly like Prime Minister Mark Carney did after his election as Federal Liberal Leader. Mr. Hogan's party had 19 of 40 seats at dissolution, just 2 short of a majority like the Federal Liberals. Of course the Premier, unlike Mr. Carney had a seat at dissolution. The Premier talks about his pride in getting to run in & lead his party into an election as Premier. This is great for democracy as it shows Newfies & Labradors he really wants to succeed if he gets a full term & work hard in opposition if he does not.
