Dear Demetrios:

XXVth Mayor Of Edmonton Frederick John Mitchell realized he was just a "placeholder" for a month & did not run for Mayor on his own. He just was sworn back in as an Alderman to finish that term. Other Interim Mayors have run for the job, John chose not to. John was adept as stenographer, furniture salesman, & as an accountant so he thought he would be good with civic finances by serving in office. Mitchell Industrial area is named for him. John was also a huge fan of getting citizens to try tennis.
