IInd Mayor Of Edmonton Herbert Charles Wilson had great command experience to sit in the Mayor's chair as he also was in charge of the Territorial Legislature of the Northwest Territories as Speaker & as a Territorial Council Member. Herbert set up a literary club to get folks educated. He also served as President of The Edmonton Cricket Club to encourage folks to exercise. As a practicing physician, Herbert was instrumental in not just listening to voters electoral concerns, but in also taking care of their medical needs. In a testament to how important his mayor ship was, funds were secured to build the High Level Bridge during his tenure & it still stands today.
